GiG To Launch Hard Rock’s Mobile Sportsbook
Casino technology provider and software developer the Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is one step closer to becoming a major player in highly valued newly regulated US market, with specific emphasis on sports betting. The provider recently announced that it was now a step closer towards becoming a major contributor towards the betting and entertainment scene in the US, thanks to its planned launch of the Hard Rock’s mobile sportsbook, which is set to go live before the current year is out.
This is not the first time that GiG has been involved with the development of products for the popular hotel and casino brand. The company designed an online casino platform for the Hard Rock earlier this year. Now that PASPA has officially been declared repealed, risk management services, odds and data will also be added to the service.
A Strong Market Player
The next step will now be for the supplier-provider to be endorsed and certified by the state of New Jersey, where after the hotel and casino group will be in a position to accept legal wagers on sports events. The solutions provider has said that it now deems itself a force to be reckoned with, especially following the release of its Sports Betting Services product, and the subsequent addition of its very first B2B partner.
Endre Nesset, Director of Sports at the Gaming Innovation Group, commented on the proposed launch later this year. Nesset said that this was no new territory for the team, as they had been working closely together with the hotel and casino group for quite some time now and earlier this year successfully launched the group’s online casino division.
According to Nesset, the sports betting product developed by GiG has been an ongoing project spanning the last two years. It was time well spent as the company was now confident that the product would provide operators with a complete set of tools needed in order to manage risk, create brand-specific markets and provide the best possible customer support base for their end-user players and bettors.
A Year For New Things
It’s turning out to be quite the year for the gambling and gaming solutions powerhouse. The firm recently launched a trial version of its very first in-house-created casino game, Wild Reels. GiG has said that it hopes to have developed at least 6 or 8 games by the time the first half of 2019 draws to a close. The games are being created as part of the firm’s casino division.
